In short: we collect only the data you voluntarily provide through the contact form, plus limited technical data via cookies you can control, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
1. Who controls your data
The data controller for this website is Mihawa, operating from tř. Osvobození 305, Příbram, Czechia, reachable at [email protected] or +420 954 226 102. This policy is written to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Act No. 110/2019 Sb., on Personal Data Processing, as applicable in the Czech Republic.
We process: contact form submissions, and, if you consent, analytics and preference cookies.
2. What personal data is processed
When you use the contact form, we process the name, email address, phone number and message content you provide. This data is transmitted through your own email client via a mailto link and is not stored on our servers as a database record. If you consent to analytics cookies, anonymised or pseudonymised usage data such as pages visited and time spent may be processed through the analytics tool in use, where applicable.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for cookies, and legitimate interest or pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) for handling your enquiry.
3. Legal basis for processing
Processing of contact form data relies on your consent given at the moment of submission and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries related to editorial correspondence, journalistic tips and corrections. Processing of optional cookies relies exclusively on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time through the cookie preferences link available on every page.
Data is kept only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, then deleted.
4. Retention period
Correspondence sent via the contact form is retained for as long as necessary to address the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards to allow for follow-up, generally not exceeding 24 months, after which it is deleted unless a longer retention is required by applicable law.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port and object to processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We do not sell personal data and only share it with service providers strictly necessary to operate the site, such as hosting providers.
6. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Limited data may be shared with technical service providers, such as web hosting infrastructure, strictly for the purpose of operating this website, under contractual confidentiality obligations consistent with GDPR requirements.
